Kids Fishing Day- July 24, 2025
Join us for a fun-filled Kids Fishing Day hosted by Gallatin Madison Walleye Unlimited on Thursday, July 24 from 9 AM to noon at the Three Forks Ponds! This free event is open to all kids 12 and under, with an accompanying adult chaperone required. Walleyes Unlimited will provide all fishing equipment—including poles, hooks, and bait—so just bring your excitement! Volunteers will be on site to teach kids the basics of fishing, helping them build confidence and skills they can use for years to come. A free lunch will also be provided for all participants.
Space is limited to the first 100 children, and registration is required through our Eventbrite page.

Walleye Unlimited Launches “Biggest Walleye Release” at Canyon Ferry Reservoir for Summer 2025
Exclusive to Walleye Unlimited Members | May 2 -August 18, 2025
Canyon Ferry Reservoir is the place to be this summer for serious anglers looking to land-and release-a trophy fish. Walleye Unlimited is proud to introduce the “Biggest Walleye Release”, an exclusive summer-long fishing initiative open to Walleye Unlimited members from May 2 through August 18, 2025.
Focused on conservation and sport, this effort highlights walleyes measuring 28 inches or longer, caught and released only in Canyon Ferry Reservoir. Each qualifying entry not only celebrates angling skill but also contributes to the preservation of trophy-class fish in one of Montana’s most iconic fisheries.
Every verified entry will also be entered to win a full replica mount (valued up to $1,200), courtesy of Gallatin Madison Walleyes Unlimited. Whether your fish is the biggest or not, your release could earn you a lasting tribute to your summer on the water.
To participate, members must log their qualifying fish through the Aingler app, available for download on both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Submissions must include clear photos and proper verification through the app.
This effort promotes more than just size-it’s about stewardship. By encouraging the release of large, mature fish, Walleye Unlimited supports the long-term health and sustainability of Montana’s walleye population.
